Unit 8: Hangar

Map hangar1: Outer Hangar (3 secrets)

  1. Enter the room below the one you start in. Inside, on the right, jump over the pipe for adrenaline.
  2. Back outside, shoot the red light next to the propeller in the water. Get in and follow the pipe to discover a secret area. From here you not only get access to #3, but you can also take the ladder and shoot the wall under the flashing light to sneak up on the rest of the enemies on this map.
  3. Go into the tower and around. Jump on to the platform to get to a secret level: Comm Satellite.

Map space: Comm Satellite (2 secrets)

  1. To get to this adrenaline safely, do not jump. Walk off the platform to fall on the solid central column, then slowly walk to the prize. Take time to stabilize yourself every so often. Return the same way, by jumping on to the central column under the platform (so that you are not propelled too high).
  2. Just before the door to the top hangar, walk down to a ledge on the right to pick up adrenaline.

Map lab: Research Lab (1 secret)

  1. Along this bridge, the first cage has a crack. Shoot it and get access to quad damage and slugs.
  2. [Not a secret] On your way out, right at the start, shatter the window that reads 'KILL ME'. Enter and crawl through the tunnel to your left. You are shown this message: 'A.H.D.S.S.I.B.H. - bjjc', which apparently stands for A Hall Displays Secret Snapshots In Boss' House - Brandon James & John Carmack.

Map hangar2: Inner Hangar (5 secrets)

  1. Just as you enter, to the left, shoot the faulty computer to find adrenaline.
  2. With the rotating walls behind you, shoot this barrel for quad damage.
  3. In the room with the moving platforms, get into the water and swim towards the orange light. Dive down and proceed to the back and left. You should emerge in a room with health and body armor. To the back and far right is a bandolier, but that is not a secret.
  4. When you get to the huge pool, dive off the platform into the opening for adrenaline.
  5. At the very end, just before exiting the map, shoot the wall beyond the barrels -- if you look carefully you will notice it is slightly misaligned. Body armor sits behind it.

Map command: Launch Command (2 secrets)

  1. You have to rocket jump onto the huge platform, walk across and down on the other side to get to the BFG10K. There is a ladder next to the weapon to get back out.
  2. At the very end, the exit is flanked by two windows. Break the cracked glass to the left and dive into the water for ammo of every kind.
