Episode 3: Netherworld

Map e3m1: Termination Central (5 secrets)

  1. The dark part of this wall is smooth - the rest has rivets. Shoot the smooth part. Red armour inside.
  2. In the room with the big acid pool, jump down to the lower platform next to the exit doors. If you fall in the acid, there is a lift underneath. There's yellow armour, rockets and a health pack.
  3. Same acid pool, just the far wall. Jump in the acid opposite the big switch, and swim into the tunnel. There a room has health, ammo and a slipgate that brings you to blue armour and a super health pack.
  4. Right under the gold key is a secret - Quad Damage. Don't try to jump. Walk to the triangular plate to the left of the lift, then walk around the ledge.
  5. These computers stand right next to the gold door. Get on top of the pile and shoot the misaligned part of the wall for a super health pack.

Map e3m2: The Vaults of Zin (3 secrets)

  1. As you enter go left. To the right of the silver door is a lava pit. Jump to the other side, then down in the pit - a narrow ledge will prevent your fall into the lava. Take the super health pack. A lift will bring you up again.
  2. Shoot at this spot, a secret door opens. Follow it to pick up a Ring of Shadows.
  3. Same room as secret #2, a bit lower down, after you have opened that section. Shoot the discoloured wall, and a slipgate appears. It will bring you to the roof of the building where you can collect health and ammo.
  4. [Not a secret] On the right side, as you enter this lava room, is a small skull on the wall. Shoot or axe it to get a Quad Damage.

Map e3m3: The Tomb of Terror (2 secrets)

  1. Get up the stairs that rise out of the lava pool. To the right, up under the roof is a target. Shoot it to open a door under it. Jump down and enter the slipgate to get to the red armour on the top beam.
  2. Dive into the water. A super health pack is stashed under the stairs.

Map e3m4: Satan's Dark Delight (5 secrets)

  1. From the first room with the big button, go out on the second slope, and shoot the yellow light on the ledge behind you. Some stairs pull out to the upper platform, which holds health and rockets.
  2. Jump down on this corner, a door will open to a very rich room: super health pack, yellow armour, Quad Damage, health, ammo.
  3. Shoot the four lights in the Secret #2 room. Another room opens, with a Pentagram of Protection.
  4. Ride the lift up after the third moving platform. Shoot the yellow ceiling light to open a room to a Pentagram of Protection.
  5. When you finish the Shambler (remember the Thunderbolt), don't use the slipgate, but get under the stairs. The pipe in the lava is the entrance to the secret level, The Haunted Halls. (Or use the slipgate to clear out the level, but return here instead of taking the main exit slipgate.)

Map e3m7: The Haunted Halls (4 secrets)

  1. When you have disposed of the inhabitants of this room, shoot the bloody grate for Quad Damage.
  2. Just round the corner from secret #1 is a small lift. Make the lift rise, then jump into the hole under it to get a super health pack.
  3. Get past the row of shooters. As you leave them behind, look up and to the left. There is a red Q button in the ceiling. Shoot it, and a room opens below it to a super health pack, yellow armour and Quad Damage.
  4. Jump to the top of the cage. The door over it will open as you land. Grab the Pentagram of Protection, but be careful if you jump down at the end of the corridor - you will land in front of the shooters. Better see if you can slip back out on the top of the cage again.

Map e3m5: Wind Tunnels (4 secrets)

  1. One or more Death Knights attacks you from a parapet. To get up there and the Quad Damage, go to the far-right corner of the corridor with the flashing lights. There is a hole in the floor, jump down. There is a box of nails and a slipgate that will send you to the parapet.
    Carry on left around the room on the narrow ledge to get a reload of rockets.
  2. After taking the red tunnel, dive into the moat in the next room. Below the far wall directly behind the blue armour is a submerged entrance to a room with health, nails, and a rocket launcher.
  3. Before you dive into the funnel, shoot the Q on the roof beam. A secret door opens to health, nails and a biosuit.
  4. Before you exit, shoot the recessed floor tile. A room underneath holds health and nails. Be careful to not jump directly into the slipgate or you will not be able to get the items.

Map e3m6: Chambers of Torment (2 secrets)

  1. The ceiling opens when you take the silver key. Shoot the big Q. You will get access to a corridor with yellow armour and Quad Damage.
  2. At the top of the elevator shaft is another big Q button. Ride the lift to the top, shoot the button, and you will be able to jump down on the beams in the previous room, where health and rockets await.
