Go back through Illus Pass and exit via the south-west to return to the region you started in.
Another Barrier
From the Illus Pass exit, there seems to be no way to progress any further. You can, however, see some terrain to the west that you cannot reach. A rock (5) prevents you from crossing over. Face the rock and press Enter to get Ryanna to clear the way.
The town of Nemar (6) is just to the south-west from here.
Nemar
Being cut off from the world, Nemar is in strife, as depicted by the lack of roads and building walls. In Nemar, you must first speak to your mother (1) near the north-east, and then to Ark the carpenter at the south-east. Ark will agree to repair a bridge for you if you can retrieve his tools for him. Ark will not give you this quest if you haven't spoken to your mother yet.
The shop in this run-down town sells no equipment, only Herbs, Ether, Revive and Remedy (to cure poisons), but they will buy anything you want to dispose of.
Leave via the west once you've got the quest from Ark.
