Al Qadim: The Genie’s Curse
Getting Answers from Genies
Jaza'ir Jiza

- Tip: You do not need to walk all the way around the hands. Along the western side, where the hands form a circle, there are gaps you can enter from.
- The gatekeeper genie will want you to fetch the wisest snake.
This part involves a lot of traveling between here and Bandar al Sa'adat. This fetches you 2800xp more than the shortcut described here, not to mention the XP you would get from random encounters. You can skip all the fetch quests except one by speaking to the Dao (the tall guy) and Sha'ir (the magic carpet) instead of the Efreeti (the fiery one). The shortest route to this is to speak to the following in this order:Now wait a couple of minutes for the Sha'ir to return. He will tell you the scimitar is on Senat. Find the scimitar in the same chest as the Bottle of Emptiness on the Isle of Senat (see below), return to Jaza'ir Jiza and hand it over to the Dao
- Efreeti: Thousand blessings | How may I prove | Beg you to tell
- Dao: Bring news | Why impossible | Why not you | You have the power | Farewell
- Dao (again): What must I do
- Sha'ir: Wish to see council | Yes
- Dao: Shall I do | Farewell
- Dao (again): Let me meet the council | What does efreeti crave | Farewell
- Sha'ir: What will please efreeti | Farewell
- Dao: Singing Scimitar | Farewell
- Sha'ir: Scimitar
