Back Home

Zaratan

• Go north, speak to your sister, and get all formalities out of the way.
• Speak to your aunt (house directly west, a bit south from your father, opposite your mother's house) and accept her gift 10 gems, 100gp.
• Go to the house directly north-west of your aunt's and give the poor man 30gp to rebuild his property 180xp.
• Go to the temple (absolute north-west corner) and donate 50gp 180xp.
• Visit your sister (absolute south-west corner) and acquire a Sling of Seeking.
• Just northwest of the entrance to Zaratan is the Potion Shop. Outside the shop is an old friend who wants you to pay back 5gp you borrowed long ago 90xp.
• Directly north of your aunt's house is Babazar's. If you ask him what is wrong, he will want you to retrieve purple berries to heal his ailing daughter. Demand payment for the service Sunfire Shard - 1 charge.
• Visit the Qadi (northwest of Babazar's house, east of the temple). He will want you to get a treaty signed.
• Have your father sign the treaty.
• Go to the Wassab's house (west of the poor man's house). The head of the family will want your sister to sign too.
• Speak to your sister in her house, follow her to the Qadi's office, and get the treaty signed.
• Enter the Qadi's office and hand over the signed document 360xp.
• Exit Zaratan and go west to the desert.

The Western Desert

• Go northwest and follow the eastern shore of the lake until you come upon several bushes. Pick purple berries from the middle one.
• A pahari will speak to you and ask you to not reveal her identity to anyone.
• Return to Zaratan.

Zaratan

• Your teacher will appear and hand you a Parchment and a Water Blast Shard - 15 charges.
• Go to Babazar and hand him the berries 360xp, 300gp. Tell him you've not seen the pahari.
• On to the Qadi to give him the pahari's message.

The Western Desert

• Return to the purple berry bush and attempt to use it.
• Tell the pahari you have delivered her message 270xp. She will allow you access to a healing pool on the western shore of the lake.
• Return to Zaratan.

Zaratan

• You will be informed that the caliph and his daughter are missing.
• You need to find the caliph in the Western Desert.

The Western Desert

• The caliph will be towards the northwest 450xp. He will want you to find his treasure chest.
• The treasure chest lies north of the caliph, behind a barrel.
• Return to Zaratan.

Zaratan

• There is nothing to do here after leading the caliph inside the city gate. You will be banished, so go back to the Western Desert.
