34. Silt Sea South

When you arrive at 1, you hear some weird squeals. That’s your signal to buff up. A few basic enhancements should be enough. A halfling will run up to you and warn you to leave because the area is dangerous. He’s being chased by a pair of mastyrials, which by now should be no problem for an enlarged and strengthened party.

Indeed, there are two mastyrials stationed at 2. Finish them off, then head south to 3 to the Ssurans. The ssurans want to buy slaves and are awaiting a delivery. You can offer to buy the statue from them for an exorbitant price of 25,000cp (can be bargained down to 18,000cp), but why spend money when you get to eliminate slavers and get the statue for free? They are easy to kill so don’t even waste a fireball on them. Be sure to pick up the statue piece one of them drops; it can be a little difficult to spot.

Search the two quirri nests on the left wall at 4. Among other things, you’ll find a pink pear, which cures serious wounds. In the nest at 5, I found a gem and an apple. The skeletons at X have some minor treasure.

When you go between the pillars at 6, the party will be able to climb down the cliff to the sandy area (anyone can climb down or back up, but a thief will be able to do it easily—there are no repercussions either way). Because we have Notaku’s last quest, a mastyrial will spring up from the sand at 7 (that’s why we went to Cedrilte and got the terror bloom first). Kill it and take the mastyrial stinger it drops.

Search the two interactable nests at 7 to find some treasures and a bracelet of Mind Bar. Climb back up the cliff and leave to the north at 9 to reach Silt Sea North.
