Al Qadim: The Genie’s Curse

As you enter, go south and pick up the Heart of Stone scroll.
Go to the north-easternmost room and read the book, Tribute. Memorize the oath.
Once you get to the statues, recite the oath to the left statue, place the scroll in the right statue 2100xp.
Once you get to the purple chest, say you want to see how rare it is; tales of wondrous treasure; open wider; treasure is dazzling; sell the rock. Pay 7 gems for Sword +1 (or you can grab the shard for free and fight some enemies).
Exit this building and stand by the lone bush to its southeast. Speak to Rashidin when he stops next to you and tell him you seek knowledge.
Walk into the building to the east, and down the stairs to the library.

Walk over all the glowing runes 350xp each for the first six. Follow the map and you will be able to find all of them.
At 4, you have to cross the bridge to the east. When you hear a sound indicating that spikes have been lowered somewhere, head back west across the bridge.
Due to a bug, you can hit the switch at 5 to reveal the rune, step on it and flip the switch again to conceal it. Repeating this multiple times completes the first puzzle and you can go straight to 13 if you wish (you can also farm XP this way).
As soon as you step on the rune at 5, rush west across the bridge because it will soon be engulfed in flames.
If you get stuck on an island (north of 21) with a book and a Potion of Healing, read the book aloud, then walk to the north-western corner of the island to find an invisible path out.
When you get the chance, ask Rashidin to see his collection of scrolls.
You need to ultimately get to the flying carpet in the far west at 19 1750xp. Here you need to step on all the runes (lit or unlit) for a bridge to appear. If a bridge to the carpet does not materialize, you have missed some runes (most probably 16).
Once you have the magic carpet you can fly around the map and land on certain runes if you want to access chests and items on islands.
Fly north to 21 to reach stairs to the lower level.

From the entrance, go west all the way and north through the wall. Go as far north as you can and read the scroll hidden behind the pot 2800xp. You could leave the library right away.
Far in the southeast you'll find the Casket of Worldly Cares. Place the mirror in the casket and return after a short while. This casket is better than the Casket of Eternal Hope because you can fight some thieves to the south while you wait for Rashidin.
Once Rashidin stops at the casket you have placed the mirror in, inspect him very closely, then interrupt him politely.
